Purpose
To respond positively to government policies to facilitate the return of Chinese youth to Taiwan to learn Chinese cultural traditions, participate in high quality professional and technical courses and receive training to develop their skills, the “Overseas Chinese Affairs Council of the 27th Hai Qing Skill Training Class in Baking and Pastry and Hospitality Management” is the result of planning work for course establishment and student admission that began in 2007.
Aim
Provide well-planned academic learning and practice environments to Chinese youth residing overseas who are interested in or plan to engage in the study of baking so that they are equipped to meet the needs of the Baking and Pastry Industry.
When to Apply?
From July15th to August 31st of every year.
Qualification for Application
- Chinese youth born overseas and non-residents who have not obtained citizenship or permanent residency, or Chinese youth who hold the Republic of China passport endorsement "diaspora identity" person.
- High School educated or Higher Qualification (including English High School Graduate from Fifth Form), Overseas Chinese youth below the age of 40 years.
- Can write, listen and communicate in Mandarin.

Graduation Exhibition
The 31st Graduation Exhibition Activity Records
The exhibition displays the students’ result for the two years of study. The exhibition is based on six different themes including:
Taiwan's traditional oil skin pastry, almond fondant cake art, crafting chocolate, sugar, fine points of carving art, pop art and creative cakes/bread and displays the professional skills of the students.
The 29th Graduation Exhibition Activity Records
The exhibition comprises four different themes: "Ming store merchandise", "Communication bread", "Romantic Wedding", and "Homecoming".
Ming store merchandise: To produce exquisite desserts demonstrating advanced cake-making craft as art in general with the theme of Ming Chuan COFFEE SHOP.
Communication bread: Produce a variety of fancy shapes almost like genuine items, using decorative bread to generate vitality and present the creative bread with artistic beauty.
Romantic Wedding: Warm pastel colours and romantic furnishings to present the happiness of newlyweds and the blessings of family through the wedding cake; each layer of wedding cake represents the best wishes and blessing from all family and friends.
Homecoming: Presents art sculptures using chocolate and icing, to enable the lecturers, friends and family to affirm the growth of each student at Ming Chung University who go through the two-year programme and travel back to their home country with fully-developed knowledge.
The 28th Graduation Exhibition Activity Records
“Taiwan characteristics”, “Harvest Festival”, “Christmas cocktail party”, “Perfect” as the main themes for the graduation exhibition, displaying refined bakery products to show off their exquisite, gift-worthy, life-oriented, and internationalized products. To introduce Taiwan-characteristic products to the graduates during the making process also to lead them toward the International Baking and Pastry Industry with diverse creativity.
The 27th Graduation Exhibition Activity Records
The theme of “Four Seasons Ming Chuan, taste Taiwan” is presented through posters and products to show the students’ result from the two-year programme in Taiwan.
The three different ways of presenting the products are bread decoration, cake decoration skill, and gingerbread house. The four seasons (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) are presented on the products though bread decoration and cake decoration skill. The graduates also use posters and slides to present their products and to share their experience of the two years of study.
